Description

The Merrimack Marine and Fire Insurance Company...insures...James Locke and Benjamin Morrill...fifteen hundred dollars on freight of Ship Merrimack from Valentia to her port of discharge in England or Ireland the assured warranting the said freight safe off Cape St. Vincents on or about the 20 November 1807 and the company are exempted from any loss which may have previously happened to said freight. It is agreed by the company to take the risk of the Blockading Decree of the French dated the 21 November 1806, whereof is master for this present voyage, William Adams...the assured has no liberty to abandon in case of capture or restraint until finally condemned or detained three months...the company are not liable for mens wages nor provisions
