Description

Underwritten in the office kept by John Pearson, Jun...Nathan Poor, Enoch Pierce, Enoch Gerrish...are insured...three thousand dollars on Sloop Branch and appurtenances from Newburyport to and at any port or ports in the United States for twelve months the risk to commence November 15, 1800, whereof is master for this present voyage, Nathan Poor. NB said sloop has liberty to proceed from any port in the United States under this policy to one or more ports in West Indies at and from thence to her port of discharge in the United States for the premium of four percent per month and twenty percent per sure if to windward of Hispaniola four percent per month and fourteen percent sure in case of loss - and the premium of one percent cease which on said voyage and to commence on her return and to continue until twelve months is out. Also liberty is given to sell said sloop and if within three months five percent to be paid and if within six months and above three, eight percent to be paid, and if above that time, twelve percent to be paid...
